Arpeggio explosion.

David Guetta + Kelly Rowland = Gey-licious. It's 'jump up and down with your arms at your side' time.

Unfortunately, remixes for this one aren't that great. I guess out of all of them I'd recommend the Norman Doray & Arno Cost and Laidback Luke mixes, which both attempt to balance the sugariness of the original with some spacey dub interludes.

In other news, Ladytron is working with Christina Aguilera on her new album. I know, right? I loaaaathe her. But other collaboraters for Light & Darkness include my favorites Sia, Goldfrapp, and Le Tigre so I'm like, weirdly excited to hear what this shit sounds like.

Oceanlab, or Above & Beyond presents Oceanlab, or whatever, just released a 2 disc album of remixes from their last album Sirens of the Sea. I approve; the remixes take tend to take that annoying eurolush edge off of the tracks and make them a little more intense. For the most part. There are still some trancey stinkers in there that just sound like recycled A&B hits from six years ago. Fresher, darker entrees are mostly on CD2 via Andrew Bayer ("Secret") and 16 Bit Lolitas ("On A Good Day"). Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten deliver good remixes, too, but I still can't help feeling like I'm 15 again when I listen to any of their music.

Finally, I took a listen to Sneaky Sound System's newest album 2 recently. It . . . um . . . sounds a lot like their last one, with a few adjustments made after listening to some French bloghouse. Unfortunately, there isn't a song quite as catchy as "I Love It." A few good herky jerky synth hooks here and there, though, and none if it's bad enough to disprove that Australia is still a hotbed for delicious alternative dance music.
